Shalimar Paints has launched Shalimar Prastavana, its first exclusive painter empowerment initiative under the Shalimar Expert Program, to support painters’ wellbeing, family security and professional development.
Introduced ahead of the festive season, the initiative aims to recognise the contribution of painters while extending benefits beyond conventional loyalty programmes. Built around the belief that “Every Painter is a Hero”, Prastavana focuses on healthcare, insurance protection and skill development.
Under the programme, painters will have access to accidental death and permanent or partial disability coverage, tele-medical consultations and AI Medi Insights. Hospi-Cash benefits are also included in the initiative. The programme will provide skill development opportunities and certifications to support painters’ professional growth.
The launch builds on the company’s existing engagement with the painter community through the Shalimar Expert Program, which provides educational resources and training videos via a dedicated Facebook page. Shalimar Paints also uses its painter mascot, Rangeela, across social media and YouTube content to make information on new products and painter empowerment more accessible.
Commenting on the initiative, Kuldip Raina, MD & CEO, Shalimar Paints, said, “Painters play a vital role in transforming spaces through their skill, craftsmanship and dedication. Through Prastavana, we aim to extend our commitment beyond the products we create by supporting their wellbeing, professional development and family security. We believe that empowering painters with access to healthcare, insurance protection and skill development opportunities is an important step towards recognising their contribution and supporting their growth. With Prastavana, we reaffirm our commitment to the people whose hands help build India, enabling them to pursue their profession with greater confidence and security.”
Through Prastavana and the wider Shalimar Expert Program, the company aims to strengthen its engagement with painters by combining welfare support with training and education, while creating opportunities for their long-term development.
