Shiprocket has launched a new campaign for its on-demand hyperlocal delivery service, Shiprocket Quick, featuring actor Manoj Pahwa. Titled ‘Toh Pehle Bata Deta’, the film uses humour to highlight the uncertainty surrounding local pickups and the challenges it can create for business owners.
The film follows Pahwa as an electronics store owner whose daughter is getting married. As the wedding progresses from the baraat to the pheras and vidai, he remains preoccupied with a customer parcel awaiting pickup outside his shop. Torn between his family celebrations and his responsibility to the customer, he continues waiting for the courier rider, missing important moments along the way.
The story takes a turn after the wedding, when a wedding planner urgently needs to send a box of sweets and books through Shiprocket Quick. A rider is assigned and arrives shortly after, prompting Pahwa’s exasperated reaction: ‘Toh Pehle Baa Deta!”
The film closes with the jingle, “Jhat se assign, phat se pick, local delivery with Shiprocket Quick,” bringing the service’s proposition into focus.
The campaign centres on the uncertainty sellers face when they cannot plan around a pickup, particularly when deliveries are time-sensitive. Shiprocket Quick allows businesses to arrange local pickups and deliveries through a digital interface, with the campaign highlighting the role of dependable service alongside delivery speed.
The campaign is rolling out across digital and social media platforms ahead of the festive season, when businesses face higher order volumes and tighter fulfilment timelines.
Commenting on the campaign, Kautilya, Senior Vice President and Head of Growth and Marketing at Shiprocket, said, “For many sellers, delivery delays are not just operational inconveniences, they can disrupt an entire day. With this film, we wanted to bring that insight to life through humour rather than simply talk about faster delivery. The story captures a situation many business owners will recognise: trying to be present for an important personal moment while work still demands their attention. Shiprocket Quick is built for moments when waiting is not an option, and this becomes even more relevant during the festive season, when speed and reliability matter the most.”
Ira G, Chief Creative Officer, Toaster INSEA, said, “A delayed delivery can disrupt operations, affect customer experience and add stress to a business owner’s day. We wanted to bring this real challenge to life through humour, using a wedding setting and Manoj Pahwa to take the chaos to an entertaining extreme. Shiprocket Quick fits naturally into the story, showing how technology can simplify everyday business operations.”
As part of the campaign rollout, Shiprocket Quick will also conduct on-ground activations across key wholesale markets in Delhi NCR in partnership with local trader communities, allowing sellers to experience the service during the festive rush.
The campaign has been conceptualised by Toaster INSEA, directed by Neal Massey and produced by Handycraft.
