Srinivasan K Swamy, Executive Group Chairman, R K Swamy Ltd., will be inducted into the Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA) Hall of Fame on 24 October 2025, during the inaugural session of the AdAsia Congress in Beijing.
The AFAA Hall of Fame is awarded once every two years to an individual who has made a contribution to the marketing communications industry across Asia.
Swamy currently serves as President of the Advertising Agencies Association of India, a role he also held for three consecutive terms from 2004 to 2007. He has previously led several industry bodies, including the International Advertising Association (IAA), where he was the first Indian to serve as global chairman. He has also chaired the Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA), the Audit Bureau of Circulations, the India Chapter of the IAA, the Advertising Standards Council of India, the All India Management Association, the Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Madras Advertising Club.
In addition to his industry roles, Swamy is involved in the administration of a hospital, as well as various educational and religious institutions.
Over the years, Swamy has received several awards in recognition of his work:
- IAA Global Compass Award for outstanding contribution to the industry (only Indian recipient)
- AdStar Korea Lifetime Honour Award (only Indian recipient)
- Award of Appreciation from Japan Advertising Association (only Indian recipient)
- IAA Inspire Champion Award – awarded by IAA Global during its platinum jubilee
- IAA Global Special North Star Medal – awarded during the organisation’s 85th year celebration
- AFAA Special Merit Award – for contribution to the industry
- Distinguished Service Award – awarded by Advertising Club Madras
- Honorary Life Fellowship – conferred by All India Management Association
- Lifetime Achievement Award – awarded by Advertising Agencies Association of India
- Inducted into the IAA Hall of Fame – awarded by IAA India Chapter
- Lifetime Achievement Award – awarded by Rotary Club of Guindy
- IAA Force for Good – awarded by IAA India Chapter for societal service
- Distinguished Alumni Award – awarded by Alagappa College of Technology during its platinum jubilee celebrations
Swamy will be formally recognised at the upcoming AdAsia Congress, which brings together industry professionals from across the region.
