Star Health and Allied Insurance has launched a new national brand campaign built around the promise, “When India looks up in worry, Star Health answers.” The campaign focuses on the role of claims support during a medical emergency and the reassurance it can provide to policyholders.
The campaign draws on the uncertainty families face around a medical emergency, including concerns about affordability, access and getting support at the right time. At its centre is Star Health’s claims data, with the insurer stating that it settles one claim every eight seconds and has settled more than 1.6 crore claims to date.
Policyholders can access cashless treatment across a network of more than 16,000 hospitals in India, supported by over 900 branches. Star Health is also marking 20 years of operations this year.
The campaign film follows four families in different parts of India through real-life hospitalisation scenarios. It shows how, once a claim is approved, families can shift their focus from arranging funds to the treatment itself. The film uses a sound-led treatment, with the assurance reaching each family in its respective language.
The film closes with a visual representation of India created from the faces of people supported by Star Health, highlighting the scale of its claims support.
The film has been conceptualised by KekuMeku Media and directed by Satyajeet Kadam.
Speaking on the campaign, Himanshu Walia, Whole Time Director and Chief Marketing Officer, Star Health and Allied Insurance, said, "For a family facing a medical emergency, the real test of a health insurance policy is how it responds when a claim is made. Worry in that moment looks the same everywhere, whether a family is in a metro or a small town, and we wanted to capture that universal moment and the relief that follows when help arrives. Settling a claim every 8 seconds is not just a number for us; each one represents a family that could focus on recovery instead of worrying about the cost of care. The film moves from individual families across regions to a larger picture of India, because that is what our claims support represents. By taking the campaign to audiences in nine languages across TV, digital and outdoor, we want every family to know that when they look up in worry, Star Health answers. As India moves towards the vision of Insurance for All by 2047, we believe dependable claims support will play an important role in strengthening trust in health insurance."
The campaign marks the next chapter in Star Health’s brand platform focused on support during healthcare moments that matter most. It will run across TV, digital, cinema, outdoor and social, with a 30-second film, a 15-second cutdown and adaptations for digital platforms.
The campaign will be rolled out across key markets in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam and Odia.
