Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav is set to make a runway appearance as the showstopper for Ethnix by Raymond at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) on October 18, 2026, at Taj Palace, New Delhi.
Yadav will close the showcase with ‘Wedding Stories’, the brand’s latest collection featuring Indian craftsmanship and contemporary occasionwear for the modern Indian man.
“Fashion has always been another way for me to express my personality, so I’m excited to step onto the runway with Ethnix by Raymond at Lakmé Fashion Week. ‘Wedding Stories’ brings together the richness of Indian craftsmanship with a contemporary sense of style, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the runway in a completely different way and celebrating the modern Indian man through fashion,” said Suryakumar Yadav.
Kalpana Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Raymond Lifestyle, said, “Ethnix by Raymond celebrates the modern Indian man: rooted in tradition, confident in his style, unafraid to stand out. Suryakumar Yadav embodies that spirit, reinventing cricket while respecting its craft, just as Ethnix reimagines ethnic wear with contemporary sophistication. We are proud to welcome him to the Ethnix by Raymond family."
Vipul Mathur, Chief Business Officer, Ethnix by Raymond, Raymond Lifestyle, said, “As a leading name in menswear we are today witnessing the emergence of new India that is rewriting the rules of style, blending heritage with global fashion sensibilities. Our association with Suryakumar Yadav at Lakmé Fashion Week places Ethnix by Raymond at the heart of that shift, giving us a powerful platform to elevate the appeal of the brand while reinvigorating the category and connecting with younger consumers and accelerate business growth."
The evening will open with a live musical performance by Twin Strings, bringing music and fashion together ahead of the ‘Wedding Stories’ presentation. The collection explores a contemporary approach to Indian wedding and occasion dressing, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern silhouettes and styling.
Yadav’s appearance brings cricket and fashion together at the showcase. Known for his distinctive personality and individual style, the cricketer’s association with Ethnix reflects the brand’s focus on connecting traditional Indian menswear with younger consumers and contemporary fashion sensibilities.
Ethnix by Raymond will present ‘Wedding Stories’ on October 18 at Taj Palace, New Delhi, as part of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, with Suryakumar Yadav as the showstopper.
