Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has achieved a major milestone by setting new national records for the maximum distance covered by 150cc and 250cc motorcycles in India. This feat was accomplished during the 24-Hour GIXXER Endurance Challenge – The Ultimate Test, held at the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.
The Suzuki GIXXER SF 150, powered by a 155cc air-cooled engine, successfully covered an impressive 2,802.3 kilometres in 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Suzuki GIXXER SF 250, with its high-performance engine equipped with Suzuki’s Oil Cooling System (SOCS), achieved a remarkable 3,259.0 kilometres in the same time. These records were set using stock motorcycles, with no modifications, showcasing the exceptional reliability and engineering of the GIXXER series.
As a result, the Suzuki GIXXER series has now earned a place in the Indian Book of Records, further cementing its reputation for performance and durability.
Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing and After Sales at Suzuki Motorcycle India, commented, “The GIXXER Endurance Challenge demonstrates Suzuki’s dedication to producing motorcycles that excel in endurance, reliability, and performance. Achieving these national records reinforces the robustness of our GIXXER series and highlights our engineering excellence. We thank the team of riders, engineers, and everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement.”
