Taneira, a Tata product, has launched ‘Drapes of Gratitude’, a Teacher’s Day campaign built around the lasting influence of teachers and mentors.
The campaign film follows a young woman who communicates through sign language as she returns to meet her former teacher. The meeting brings back memories of the lessons, discipline and guidance she received, including moments that may have seemed challenging at the time but went on to influence her journey.
As she reconnects with her teacher, the former student presents her with a Taneira saree as a gesture of appreciation and respect. The film uses the exchange to explore how the impact of a teacher can continue long after formal education ends.
The campaign also expands the idea of who can be a teacher, pointing to people such as mothers, siblings, neighbours, colleagues, friends and flatmates whose advice, support or example can leave a lasting impression.
Somprabh Kumar Singh, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Taneira, said, "Gratitude is often felt deeply, but not often easily expressed in ways that match its significance. With ‘Drapes of Gratitude’, we wanted to create a moment that makes that emotion tangible, bringing together the timelessness of a Taneira saree with the sentiment of thanking someone who has played a meaningful role in our lives. We hope this Teacher’s Day inspires people to find their own meaningful way of expressing gratitude and perhaps discover something from Taneira that helps them make that gesture truly special.”
Taneira’s portfolio includes handcrafted sarees in fabrics and weaves such as Banarasi, Kanjivaram, Chanderi, Maheshwari, Tussar, Jamdani, Organza, Chiffon, Sambalpuri and South Silk, alongside other apparel and occasion-wear categories.
