Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has announced the appointment of Sharat Verma as President – Packaged Beverages, India & South Asia (including Organic India), following the resignation of Puneet Das, who is stepping down after eight years with the company to pursue new opportunities.
Verma, currently Senior Vice President and General Manager for Fabric Care at Procter & Gamble (P&G), brings over 20 years of leadership experience across India, the Middle East, and Africa. At P&G, he played a pivotal role in building and expanding global brands such as Ariel, Tide, Gillette, Oral-B, and Olay, and is known for his strategic marketing acumen and ability to drive growth in highly competitive categories.
The leadership transition follows Puneet Das’s resignation, effective November 3, 2025, after a successful stint leading the company’s Packaged Beverages business through a period of significant growth. In his farewell note, Das expressed gratitude to TCPL for the “amazing experience” and “wonderful learning” over the past eight years, assuring full cooperation during the transition.
In a separate development, Prashant Parameswaran, President – Soulfull Business, has also stepped down from his role for personal reasons, effective December 15, 2025.
These leadership changes come as TCPL continues to bolster its senior management bench to drive growth across categories in the evolving FMCG sector.
On the financial front, TCPL reported an 11% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹406.46 crore for Q2 FY26, compared to ₹367.21 crore in the same quarter last year.
