The Script Room has conceptualised a Diwali campaign for Reliance Jewels featuring actor Raveena Tandon and her daughter Rasha Thadani. Titled ‘Khud ke traditions banayein, Saath mein Diwali manayein!’, the campaign explores how families can preserve the emotional connections associated with traditions while adapting them to individual preferences.
The campaign uses the mother-daughter relationship to examine how traditions evolve across generations. Jewellery serves as a link between the two, carrying memories and shared histories while allowing each generation to express itself differently.
The creative approach is built around the idea that traditions need not be replicated to remain meaningful. A piece of jewellery passed down or exchanged between a mother and daughter can retain its significance even as each finds a personal way to wear it. Through this relationship, the campaign explores how families can stay connected to their roots while creating traditions of their own.
“Festive advertising has traditionally leaned on familiar family narratives, particularly mother-daughter stories. We wanted to give this space a contemporary twist by looking at Gen Z and challenging the way younger consumers are often perceived. Having Raveena take Rasha’s side gave us a fresh and relatable creative lens.
The campaign brings together authentic, personal stories where jewellery becomes an integral part of the narrative. Our collaboration with Reliance Jewels has been incredibly enriching, and that spirit of partnership is reflected in a campaign that feels contemporary, engaging and culturally relevant,” said Ayyappan Raj, Founder, The Script Room.
Speaking about the campaign, a Reliance Jewels spokesperson said, “Diwali gives us an opportunity to celebrate what brings families together, while recognising that every generation has its own way of doing things. This campaign reflects that balance. It is about the memories and connections associated with jewellery, as much as it is about allowing people to express themselves in their own distinct way. The campaign brings this idea to life through the celebrity mother-daughter dynamic, showing how jewellery can be part of shared festive moments without making celebrations feel bound by convention.”
The campaign moves beyond jewellery as an element of festive dressing to focus on the relationships that give it meaning. The exchange of jewellery becomes an expression of how traditions are carried forward, reinterpreted and made personal.
The campaign is directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Punit Malhotra under Dharma 2.O.
Customers can explore Reliance Jewels’ Diwali collections at more than 130 showrooms across India and online, with offers available on gold and diamond jewellery.
