Timex, the global watch brand, has launched a new collaboration inspired by the Netflix series Wednesday. The Timex x Wednesday collection takes influence from the show’s lead character, Wednesday Addams, combining elements of gothic design with traditional Timex watch styles.
The collection has been introduced in India and includes special editions of the retro-style T80 and the Timex Weekender. Both models incorporate design elements that reference the show, such as colourways inspired by Nevermore Academy and the inclusion of Timex’s INDIGLO® backlight feature.
Timex describes the collection as ‘a celebration of the curious, the macabre, and the unmistakably stylish,’ aimed at those ‘who find elegance in the eerie.’ It maintains the brand’s existing silhouettes while incorporating thematic details that reflect the visual identity of the show.
Timex states that the watches are designed for wearers who align with alternative fashion sensibilities, including fans of dark academia and offbeat styles. The collection is intended to appeal to a younger audience and aims to reflect the current interest in nostalgic and culturally specific storytelling.
The launch comes ahead of the release of Wednesday season two on Netflix and marks a continued effort by the brand to position itself within pop culture collaborations.
The company noted: “This collaboration is more than a fashion statement; it’s a cultural moment. Alongside Wednesday Addams' continued ability to capture imaginations across generations with its second season on Netflix, the Timex x Wednesday collection taps into the intersection of nostalgia, rebellion, and style. It’s a reminder that the most compelling stories are often told through the smallest details, even the tick of a watch.”
