This past weekend, Mumbai hosted a transformative skincare experience as The Skin Affair debuted at Jio World Drive in collaboration with TIRA, bringing together a curated selection of skincare brands for an exclusive showcase of innovation, expertise, and industry trends. With engaging experiences and expert-led discussions, The Skin Affair provided a platform for skincare enthusiasts to connect, learn, and explore cutting-edge formulations.

Held on March 8th and 9th, workshops were a key highlight, offering hands-on sessions that deep-dived into personalized skincare routines, advanced techniques, and ingredient science. Attendees gained practical insights tailored to various skin concerns, making the experience both informative and engaging.

Throughout the weekend, skincare enthusiasts explored a meticulously curated selection of global, viral, and homegrown brands, including international powerhouses like Youth To The People, Neutrogena, Pixi, Laneige, Beauty of Joseon, and Cosrx, alongside celebrated homegrown labels such as Akind, Beauty by Bie, Minimalist, Plum, and Foxtale. A special highlight was the much-anticipated product launch by Allies of Skin, which further amplified the festival’s role as a trendsetter in the skincare space.

Allies of Skin made waves with the launch of its latest innovation, The ONE SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel, now available on TIRA. Designed to deliver invisible yet powerful broad-spectrum protection, this breakthrough formula shields skin from UVA, UVB, and blue light damage—without a trace.

To commemorate the launch, the brand hosted an exclusive Pickleball Event mirroring the product’s ethos of effortless performance and everyday protection.

Beyond skincare, The Skin Affair celebrated the intersection of beauty and gastronomy with over ten women-led culinary brands, offering a diverse menu of wellness-inspired delicacies. From the indulgent flavours of Noa By The Nutcracker and MOTODO Pizzeria to the guilt-free pleasures of Truefit Gourmet and Wildflower Bakehouse, the festival satiated the senses in more ways than one.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, a variety of hands-on DIY experiences encouraged guests to tap into their creativity. Attendees crafted personalised perfumes, designed jewellery, explored resin art, and engaged in calligraphy, tote bag painting, candle making, and pottery. Each workshop provided a tangible and lasting connection to self-care and artistic expression.

The entertainment lineup curated by Arré: All About Her infused the festival with energy and inclusivity. Performances by comedy icon Sumukhi Suresh, musical acts such as W.I.S.H, Wild Wild Women, Vasudha Sehgal, DJ OG Shez, and DJ Suggahunny kept the crowd enthralled, ensuring that beauty was not just seen but also felt through music, humour, and movement.

Celebrating Women’s Day weekend, The Skin Affair at Jio World Drive stood as an emblem of empowerment, connection, and beauty in all its forms. With its perfect blend of luxury and accessibility, the festival welcomed skincare connoisseurs, curious novices, and even four-legged companions, making it a truly inclusive and immersive celebration.

As The Skin Affair wraps up its debut edition at Jio World Drive, it leaves behind a lasting impression on Mumbai’s skincare landscape. With its seamless fusion of skincare, culinary artistry, and live entertainment, The Skin Affair has set a new benchmark, paving the way for an even grander return next year.
