Actor Urvashi Rautela is the latest face of KFC India’s new ‘Epic Savers’ campaign and she’s making headlines not just for the crispy chicken, but also for an eyebrow-raising claim about her contributions to mathematics.
In a promotional interview shared with her 71.2 million followers, Rautela declared, “After Shri Pythagoras Ji, I am the first Indian to contribute to maths.” The comment, made in her signature flamboyant style, left the interviewer visibly taken aback and quickly caught fire across social media platforms.
While she did not elaborate on her “mathematical” achievements, Rautela seamlessly transitioned to her take on smart financial planning - tying it back to the KFC Epic Savers offer. Citing the popular deal as her “top financial hack,” she added, “Money saved is money earned.”
The limited-time offer, available for dine-in across KFC’s 1,300+ restaurants in India, includes seven Boneless Chicken Strips and two pieces of Hot & Crispy Chicken for just Rs 299. Rautela revealed the meal is regularly delivered to her sets, thanks to her assistant, adding that she herself avoids visiting outlets to escape paparazzi attention.
Fans were quick to spot her signature labubu dolls featured in the segment as well that was pictured enjoying the KFC meal alongside her, further fuelling the campaign’s viral traction.
The collaboration has sparked humorous speculation online, with jokes about Warren Buffett’s team allegedly considering her for the role of India’s Finance Minister, and even tongue-in-cheek mentions of a fictional “Urvashi Bank.”
