Uthara Ganesh has been elevated to Head of Public Policy for APAC at Snap Inc., taking on an expanded leadership role to oversee the company’s public policy engagement across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to this promotion, she served as Head of Public Policy for India and South Asia.
Ganesh announced her new role through a LinkedIn post, stating that she has recently assumed broader responsibilities at Snap Inc. as Head of Public Policy for APAC.
She has been associated with Snap Inc. for over four years, during which she has steadily expanded the scope of her mandate, playing a key role in shaping the company’s policy positioning in complex and evolving regulatory environments. Before joining Snap, she spent more than two years at Amazon Web Services, where she worked on technology policy and regulatory affairs.
With over 15 years of experience, Ganesh brings deep expertise across privacy and data protection, artificial intelligence governance, cloud computing, OTT services, digital taxation and online content regulation. Her elevation underscores Snap Inc.’s focus on strengthening its public policy leadership and engagement across key APAC markets.
