Vodafone Idea has appointed Abhijit Kishore as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 19, 2025.
Akshaya Moondra was appointed as CEO on August 19 2022 for a fixed three-year term. His tenure is set to conclude at the close of business on August 18, 2025, prompting a seamless leadership handover.
Kishore’s three-year term will extend until August 18, 2028.
A seasoned telecom veteran, Kishore has been with Vodafone Idea since March 2015 and has held multiple senior roles across circle operations and corporate strategy. Notably, he previously led the Enterprise Business as the Chief Enterprise Business Officer and served as Circle Business Head for both Gujarat and Kerala, where he was instrumental in launching India’s first 4G services.
Kishore brings over 27 years of industry experience spanning various functions and geographies. An alumnus of Delhi University and FORE School of Management in Delhi, he has also completed senior leadership programs at premier institutions including IIM Ahmedabad and London Business School.
