ZeptoLab has announced that its animated series Om Nom Stories has been acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery for exclusive Pay TV broadcast and non-exclusive digital streaming across the Indian subcontinent. The series will be available in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, expanding the franchise’s distribution footprint in South Asia.
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring Om Nom Stories to the Indian subcontinent” said Manaf Hassan, Executive Producer at ZeptoLab. “Their reach, legacy, and commitment to world-class storytelling make them the perfect home for the series. We are confident that this partnership will greatly contribute to the growing demand for the series.”
Created and produced by ZeptoLab, Om Nom Stories is a comedy-driven animated series built around short-format storytelling, expressive characters and a distinctive visual style. The franchise, which originated from the mobile game Cut the Rope, has developed into a multi-season animated property with a broad international audience.
Under the acquisition agreement, Warner Bros. Discovery will distribute all 26 seasons of the series across its children’s television networks — Cartoon Network, POGO and Discovery Kids — as well as on discovery+, making the content accessible through both broadcast and digital platforms in the region.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Lifestyle & Kids, South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery said, "We're delighted to welcome ZeptoLab's popular Om Nom Stories to the Warner Bros. Discovery kids entertainment portfolio for the Indian subcontinent. This classic series underscores our vision and strategy for Cartoon Network to provide cheerful, imaginative, and universally appealing stories to children and families throughout the region. We are confident that Om Nom Stories, with its expressive storytelling and lively adventure-driven landscape, will be loved by our audience.”
The development coincides with the franchise completing 15 years, marking its continued expansion beyond gaming into long-form animated storytelling and multi-market television distribution.
