Wendy’s India is marking its fifth anniversary with a series of events and activities taking place through August across multiple cities. The brand, which has grown to over 200 outlets in India, is rolling out a month-long campaign called “Wendy’s India Turns 5,” combining offline events, online collaborations, and social media content.
The celebrations begin in Mumbai on August 8 with the “Wendy’s Party Bus,” a mobile rave featuring music, food, and a neon-lit setup. On August 14 in Bangalore, comedian Banti Banerjee will host an in-store roast performance inside a Wendy’s outlet. The campaign also includes a set of collaborations with digital creators, such as parody songs, short-format videos, and comedic sketches inspired by the brand.
Other elements include a hyperrealistic birthday cake designed to resemble a Wendy’s meal, a mockumentary offering a satirical take on the brand mascot’s story, and a four-city series of “Wendy Raves” in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bangalore from August 22 to 24, combining live DJ performances with a food menu in partnership with Coke and Veeba. Social media activity will feature roasts, collaborations, and other daily content through the month.
Commenting on the celebration, Nishant Kedia, CMO, Rebel Foods said “We’ve built a strong following over these five years not just because of what we serve, but how we show up. Wendy’s has always stood out for its bold voice and ability to connect with culture in real time. This campaign is our way of saying thank you, turning up the volume, and celebrating with the very people who made Wendy’s India what it is today.”
