After nearly five years at Greenply Industries, Yatnesh Pandey, Vice President of Marketing, is moving on, marking the end of a tenure that coincided with an important phase of brand building, digital acceleration and category-led growth for the plywood and interior infrastructure player.
At Greenply, Yatnesh was brought in to lead growth marketing and drive digital transformation. The appointment came at a time when the home décor and interiors space was becoming more competitive, more fragmented and being increasingly shaped by omnichannel consumer behaviour.
Yatnesh Pandey’s role at Greenply also reflected a shift visible across legacy building material and home improvement brands: the move from conventional brand communication to data-backed, digitally enabled growth marketing. He introduced the integrated positioning "Greenply: Har Zarurat Ka Reply" that reframed the brand's promise around everyday relevance, took brand association to IPL with LSG team and made brand’s foray into new category of MDF with unique product positioning of powered by Ai -Prod IQ.
His work extended well beyond consumer-facing campaigns. ‘Hindustan Ki Shaan’, conceived as India's first awards IP for contractors, grew into a movement that drew over a lakh participants — honouring the professionals who translate brand promises into physical reality.
Sustainability as brand purpose is always core to his brand campaigns, continuing a thread of purpose-driven marketing he had first pulled at Nerolac with the ‘Paint the Change’ and GreenRise at Greenply ensuring commitment to the environment was not a boardroom footnote but a brand-level statement.
An IIM Ahmadabad alumnus with over two decades of marketing experience, Pandey has built a reputation for doing something few marketeers consistently achieve –Industry insiders speculates that yatnesh pandey’s next move could leverage proven track record of pulling lesser-known brand & categories into the mainstream consumer consciousness.
