Suraj Singh, co-founder of Blive Productions & Music, is set to join Zee Studios, bringing over two decades of experience across film and television production. The proposed move comes amid changes in the studio’s senior ranks. Umesh Bansal stepped down from Zee Studios to take charge as Managing Director and CEO at B4U/IVY, while Pragati Deshmukh, appointed Head of Content across verticals in June 2024, has moved on to become a producer at Spellbound Labs.
Zee Studios’ Hindi film team also includes Raedita Tandan, who was appointed Co-Producer – Hindi Films in April 2026 after joining the studio as Creative Producer in September 2025. Singh co-founded Blive Productions & Music in January 2017. His responsibilities have included creative development, scripting, casting, production planning, budgeting, vendor negotiations and overseeing shooting and post-production schedules.
Before Blive, Singh held senior positions at Balaji Telefilms, including Vice President and Vice President of Television Production & Operations. He oversaw production, worked with broadcasters on budgets and creative requirements, and secured programming mandates. His film credits during his tenure at Balaji include The Dirty Picture, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, Ek Thi Daayan, Shootout at Wadala, Lootera, Ragini MMS 2 and Ek Villain.
Singh also worked as a Creative Producer at Sphere Origins Multivision, handling storylines, screenplays, casting and broadcaster coordination. He later headed Free Zone Enterprises, Balaji’s overseas venture in Dubai, where he helped establish operations and managed budgets, business development and programming acquisitions. Singh began his career at Balaji Telefilms in 2001 and is the brother of Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions.
