ZEE5, India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform, proudly showcased its original film Despatch, featuring acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee, along with Shahana Goswami and Archita Agarwal, at the prestigious MAMI Film Festival 2024. The screening, held during the Gala Premiere on October 19, received an enthusiastic response, reinforcing the film’s reputation as a gripping exploration of journalism’s darker facets and the ethical dilemmas reporters face in their quest for truth. Despatch will premiere exclusively on ZEE5 soon.
The event also hosted a panel discussion on the intricate filmmaking process behind Despatch, addressing the broader landscape of media ethics and the creative choices that shaped the film. Directed by Kanu Behl, Despatch blends suspense with a deep moral inquiry into the media's power dynamics.
