As experiential entertainment continues to grow in India, Timezone is positioning itself as more than just a gaming destination. For the family entertainment brand, marketing is increasingly focused on building meaningful experiences, fostering customer loyalty and creating moments that bring people together.
Megha Agrawal, Chief Marketing Officer, Timezone India, shares that the brand’s marketing philosophy extends far beyond promoting attractions. “We believe marketing is not just about driving footfalls or promoting attractions. It is about creating genuine connections, memorable moments, and becoming a destination for every kind of celebration,” she says.
That philosophy recently came to life through Timezone’s Mother’s Day campaign, ‘Let Your Mom Beat You at Timezone’, which took a light-hearted mockumentary approach instead of following the category’s usual emotional storytelling. The campaign reflected the evolving role of mothers—not just as caregivers but as active participants in family experiences—and was evaluated not only on reach and impressions, but also on consumer sentiment and footfall.

Agrawal also underlines the growing importance of loyalty programmes, describing them as a strategic marketing asset rather than simply a rewards mechanism. “Loyalty is not just for rewards. It gives us deep insights into who our guests are, what games they enjoy, and how they engage with our venues. That data is like a goldmine because it allows us to create more relevant and personalised campaigns,” she adds.
On media investments, Agrawal mentions that Timezone follows a flexible approach, with digital and influencer marketing making up a larger share of spends, complemented by outdoor advertising and on-ground activations that help create local excitement around new launches.
As the brand expands across Tier-II and Tier-III markets, it continues to maintain its core pillars of safety, quality and joy while adapting creative communication to resonate with local audiences.
When it comes to measuring marketing effectiveness, Agrawal believes brands need to look beyond footfalls alone. “As we scale, we also measure customer lifetime value, visit frequency, purchasing behaviour and gaming preferences. Looking at these metrics together gives us a much clearer picture of marketing ROI,” she shares.
For Timezone, the objective is not just to attract visitors for a single outing, but to create experiences that encourage families to return—making long-term customer relationships the true measure of marketing success.
