As India's investing landscape becomes more competitive, financial brands are being forced to look beyond technology and pricing to stand out. For Jainam, that meant undertaking a six to seven-month brand transformation aimed at aligning the business with the changing needs of today's investors.
"The evolution comes from three forces meeting at the same time," says Aishwarya Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Jainam. "One is the changing expectations among investors and traders, the shift in the category itself, and the transformation of our own business over the last two decades."
According to Gupta, research showed that modern investors are no longer looking for access alone. "Investors and traders today want a stronger context. They don't want just access, they don't want just technology, they need better guidance, they need experiences that feel intuitive today," he says. This insight has shaped Jainam's new positioning around three principles: clarity over clutter, precision over probability, and actionable direction over passive insight.
The refreshed identity, featuring a magnification device, is designed to reinforce that promise. "The idea was to give a closer view to the consumer so that they can make informed decisions in the market," Gupta explains. While performance marketing continues to remain an important acquisition channel, the company's storytelling is now centred on simplifying financial decisions. "We'll ensure that each and every content piece revolves around giving the right information with the right clear view, so consumers don't miss out on anything."
For Gupta, trust remains essential, but it is no longer enough to differentiate a financial brand. "Trust will always act as the strongest currency in this category," he says. "But technology is hygiene today. Accessibility is hygiene today. Even pricing is hygiene today. Consumers need more than that. They need better context. They need better guidance."
The company is also leveraging AI across its marketing operations to accelerate creative development, optimise media planning and better understand consumer behaviour. Looking ahead, Gupta believes the refreshed positioning will appeal equally to seasoned investors and younger, digital-first audiences. "The next generation expects intuitive experiences. They need learning that's built in rather than bolted on," he says, adding that Jainam's ambition is to remain relevant while building on the trust it has established over more than two decades.
