Reliable sources have told IMPACT that Shashi Sinha has been appointed as the Strategic Advisor at Omnicom Media India. This announcement comes as part of the leadership shakeup which is a fallout of the recently completed Omnicom-IPG merger.
Industry insiders say the elevation reflects Omnicom’s emphasis on stability in a turbulent transition, giving senior management direct oversight over operations, client service and talent realignment. Shashi Sinha was elevated to the Executive Chairman of IPG Mediabrands India in May 2025. A trailblazer in every sense, Sinha’s career spans nearly four decades of redefining how media is planned, bought, and measured in India. From launching India’s first specialized media agency, Lodestar, to pioneering data and research-led planning when such concepts were still nascent, Sinha has consistently been ahead of the curve. His vision institutionalized media planning as a discipline in India—laying the groundwork for what has now become a multi-billion dollar vertical in its own right.
Shashi Sinha is one of the key appointments for Omnicom Media in the Indian market. Others include, Kartik Sharma – CEO, Amardeep Singh – COO, and Rishit Mehta – CFO.
The appointments are likely to be formally announced on the company’s India portal in the coming days.
