Alok Lall has stepped down from his role at McCann Worldgroup India, concluding a tenure that has lasted more than 14 years.
Sources close to the development told IMPACT that he put down his papers a couple months ago and is currently serving his last few days at the agency.
Lall’s exit marks the end of his second stint at McCann. Alok joined the agency for the first time as an Account Director back in 1996-97. Lall returned to McCann in 2011 as Executive Director, marking the beginning of a 14-year second stint with the agency.
Alok’s career spans over three decades during which he has served in leadership roles across top global advertising networks. According to his LinkedIn Profile, before rejoining McCann he served as the Managing Director at Iris Worldwide, prior to which he was the Executive Vice President at Saatchi & Saatchi. In 1997, he Headed the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at the then active global advertising agency JWT (J. Walter Thompson).
Impact reached out to McCann for a quote but did not receive a response at the time of filing the story. However, in the days surrounding the news of his departure, Lal’s recent activity on LinkedIn seems subtly not so cryptic.
