BharatPe launches ‘Super Over’ campaign with Rohit Sharma ahead of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

BharatPe has rolled out a new nationwide campaign titled ‘Super Over’, featuring Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma, ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Timed with the build-up to the tournament, the campaign draws a parallel between the intensity of cricket’s most decisive moments and the speed and reliability expected from everyday digital payments.

As part of the initiative, BharatPe has released a high-energy brand film that blends match-day pressure with familiar payment situations from daily life. The film taps into India’s emotional connection with cricket while positioning UPI as an essential, dependable part of routine transactions, highlighting themes of trust, performance under pressure and consistency.

Watch the campiagn here:

‘Super Over’ is structured as a month-long engagement programme aimed at encouraging regular usage of BharatPe UPI among consumers and merchants. Participants transacting via BharatPe UPI are eligible for daily rewards, including match tickets, signed merchandise and the opportunity to watch a T20 World Cup match with Rohit Sharma. The programme also offers assured Zillion Coins on every eligible transaction for both consumers and merchants.

The campaign also foregrounds BharatPe Shield, the company’s fraud protection layer designed to enhance transaction security through added safeguards and dedicated support, addressing growing concerns around safety in an increasingly digital payments ecosystem.

Commenting on the campaign, Shilpi Kapoor, Head of Marketing, BharatPe, said, “Super Over reflects the aspirations of every Indian. They want speed, trust, consistency, the ability to perform under pressure, along with safety and assurance, both on and off the field. Just as fans expect Team India to perform in every match, they seek the same confidence in their UPI payments. With fast transactions supported by the safety net of BharatPe Shield and instant rewards, we are making everyday payments feel secure, reliable and rewarding.”

The ‘Super Over’ campaign will be activated across digital platforms, social media and on-ground touchpoints, engaging users across India through the T20 World Cup season.
