BOULT, one of India’s fastest-growing wearable brands, has shown impressive growth in the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) and overall wearables market, according to a new report from the International Data Corporation (IDC). The report reveals that BOULT achieved a 52% surge in shipments, making it the fastest-growing wearable brand in India. While the overall wearable market saw an 11.3% year-on-year (YoY) decline, BOULT increased its market share from 9.7% in 2023 to 12.9% in 2024, securing its place as India’s leading homegrown TWS brand.
India’s wearable sector faced significant challenges in 2024, with smartwatch shipments dropping by 34.4% YoY and earwear growing marginally by 3.8%. Despite this industry-wide slowdown, BOULT recorded double-digit growth, driven by aggressive product innovation, strategic pricing, and premium positioning within the competitive smart audio segment. The company’s total market share increased from 6.9% in 2023 to 8.6% in 2024, reflecting a 10.8% YoY growth. In the TWS segment, BOULT’s market share rose from 10.7% in 2023 to 13.0% in 2024, marking a 32.8% YoY increase.
BOULT reported a revenue of ?600 crore for the financial year 2024-25 and expects to surpass Rs 800 crore (excluding taxes) in the current year. The brand's Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) now exceeds Rs 1,000 crore, indicating strong consumer demand and market presence. Additionally, the brand has strengthened its premium positioning through the BOULT x Mustang collaboration, which resulted in a 10% increase in market share within the Rs 1,500- Rs 2,000 TWS segment.
