Britannia Industries has appointed N Venkataraman as Deputy Managing Director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
Venkataraman has been with Britannia since April 2007 and has around four decades of experience. He currently oversees the company’s Finance, Business Commercial, Legal and Secretarial functions, besides leading its cost-efficiency initiatives.
In his new role, Venkataraman will continue to provide strategic leadership across the business, with a focus on long-term value creation and sustainable growth.
Before joining Britannia, Venkataraman headed the finance functions of Eicher Motors’ two-wheeler and commercial vehicle businesses. He began his career at Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) as a Management Trainee and later served as Senior Finance Executive at HAL’s joint venture with British Aerospace.
Jayaraman brings more than 22 years of experience, including 15 years with Britannia. He has held several finance roles at the company and currently oversees financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, taxation, treasury and shared services, while also supervising the Legal and Secretarial functions.
Before joining Britannia, Jayaraman worked with PwC and Deloitte, where he led audits of listed and unlisted companies.
