Bandhan Bank has appointed Dentsu Creative Isobar as its creative agency following a multi-agency pitch, as the lender looks to strengthen its brand positioning and deepen engagement with consumers across India.
Under the mandate, Dentsu Creative Isobar will be responsible for brand strategy, creative development, integrated campaigns and storytelling initiatives. The agency will work with the bank to shape its brand voice and develop campaigns aimed at enhancing consumer engagement and long-term brand affinity.
The partnership comes as Bandhan Bank continues to expand beyond its financial inclusion roots into a full-spectrum banking franchise, with a focus on connecting with younger audiences through culturally relevant and insight-led communication.
Commenting on the partnership, a Bandhan Bank spokesperson said, “As Bandhan Bank evolves into a full spectrum banking franchise, serving diverse customer segments across India, building a strong, distinctive, and emotionally resonant brand remains a strategic priority for us. We believe meaningful brands are created by understanding customers deeply, staying relevant to their aspirations, and engaging with them through authentic storytelling and memorable experiences. Dentsu Creative Isobar brings a compelling blend of creativity, cultural insight and strategic thinking, and we are excited to partner with them as we shape the next phase of Bandhan Bank’s brand journey and strengthen our connect with customers across generations.”
Sahil Shah, CEO, Dentsu Creative Isobar, said, “Bandhan Bank represents one of the most exciting growth stories in Indian banking today. As brands navigate changing consumer expectations, creativity has an increasingly important role to play in driving relevance and differentiation. We are delighted to partner with Bandhan Bank and look forward to creating work that is meaningful, memorable and capable of building enduring connections with consumers across India.”
Abhijat Bharadwaj, Chief Creative Officer, Dentsu Creative Isobar, added, “The most effective brands today don’t simply communicate; they participate in culture. Banking has traditionally relied on predictable narratives, but consumers are looking for brands that understand their ambitions, behaviours and realities. We see a tremendous opportunity to build a fresh, distinctive and culturally relevant voice for Bandhan Bank, one that can spark conversations and create genuine affinity with the next generation of consumers.”
