Dheeraj Sinha, CEO, McCann India, has been re-elected as President of The Advertising Club (TAC) for 2026–27, continuing in the role for a second consecutive year.
The announcement was made following the Club’s 72nd Annual General Meeting in Mumbai, alongside the unveiling of its new Managing Committee for the year.
The committee brings together senior professionals from advertising, media, marketing, digital and communications, reflecting the wider industry ecosystem. Amitesh Rao will serve as Vice President, while Ajay Kakar takes on the role of Secretary. Sonia Huria has been appointed Joint Secretary and Pradeep Dwivedi will serve as Treasurer.
The Managing Committee comprises Aparna Bhawal, Darshana Shah, Jitender Dabas, Mitrajit Bhattacharya, Satya Raghavan, Sapangeet Rajwant and Varun Sethuraman. Punitha Arumugam, Sagnik Ghosh and Avinash Kaul will join as co-opted members.
Ajay Chandwani, Lulu Raghavan, Amin Lakhani, Debasree Dasgupta, Subramanyeswar S., Saket Jha Saurabh and Amogh Dusad will serve as Special Invitees. Rana Barua will continue on the committee as Immediate Past President.
Reflecting on his second term, Sinha said the Club had spent the previous year balancing its legacy with the need to evolve. He pointed to efforts to bring greater diversity to the Club, broaden its representation across marketing and media, and upgrade its events.
He also highlighted the Club’s refreshed positioning as a “beacon” for an industry undergoing transformation, adding that the focus for 2026–27 would be to build on this momentum and bring the industry together around the changes shaping its next chapter.
Going forward, The Advertising Club will focus on strengthening industry engagement, creating more opportunities for members, supporting knowledge and capability building, and evolving its platforms in line with the changing advertising and marketing landscape.
