Fixderma marked UV Safety Month by conducting a skincare education programme for children and teenagers at Pehchan NGO, aimed at building awareness around sun protection and preventive skincare.
The initiative introduced participants to the basics of skin health, focusing on the effects of everyday sun exposure, the importance of year-round UV protection and the role of simple skincare habits in maintaining healthy skin. The session featured interactive discussions and demonstrations designed to position skincare as an essential aspect of overall health rather than a cosmetic practice.
As part of the programme, Fixderma distributed its Shadow SPF 50 Gel Kids sunscreen and demonstrated the correct method of sunscreen application, highlighting its importance during school, outdoor activities and playtime.
The event also included a creative workshop where children designed sunscreen packaging, complete with illustrations, taglines and messages promoting sun safety, reinforcing the day's learnings through hands-on participation.
Commenting on the initiative, Shaily Mehrotra, CEO & Co-Founder, Fixderma & FCL, said, "The way children understand health today shapes the habits they carry into adulthood. That is why conversations around skincare and sun protection should begin early, before misconceptions take root and preventive care becomes an afterthought. Through this initiative, we wanted to make skin health easy to understand, engaging and relevant to their everyday lives. What made the experience truly rewarding was seeing the children participate with such curiosity, ask thoughtful questions and express their learning with remarkable creativity. Moments like these remind us that education is most effective when it inspires involvement rather than simply sharing information. At Fixderma, we believe skincare extends beyond products and clinics. It also means creating opportunities for people to learn, build awareness and make informed choices that support their well-being for years to come."
Through the initiative, Fixderma said it aims to make science-backed skincare education more accessible and encourage lifelong sun-safe practices among young people.
