The second film in Foxtale’s campaign uses a simple metaphor to highlight the brand’s belief in addressing skincare concerns at their source rather than repeatedly treating surface-level symptoms.
Foxtale has released the second film in its ongoing campaign with Shah Rukh Khan, using a simple metaphor to communicate its ‘Surface to Source’ approach to skincare.
The film builds on the brand’s larger Let Your Glow Through philosophy, with the central idea that visible skincare concerns are not always where the underlying problem begins.
According to Foxtale, skincare often focuses on treating what appears on the surface, with consumers adding products or actives when a concern resurfaces. The brand’s latest communication instead advocates understanding the cause behind a recurring concern and addressing it at its source.
The film is designed to communicate this idea without taking the form of a conventional skincare product lecture. Through its metaphor-led storytelling, Foxtale aims to explain how its formulations are intended to work from the source of a concern through to the surface.
The campaign also ties the approach to the brand’s Let Your Glow Through proposition. Rather than positioning skincare as a way to create a new version of the consumer, Foxtale frames it as a means of addressing what may be preventing their existing skin from showing through.
As Romita Mazumdar, Founder & CEO, Foxtale, puts it: “We've always believed that skincare is most effective when you understand what's actually causing a concern, rather than repeatedly treating what's showing up on the surface. That's what Surface to Source means to us. You don't just want to manage a problem every time it appears. You want to understand it well enough to address where it begins. 'Let Your Glow Through' is the natural expression of that belief. We're not trying to create a version of you that doesn't exist. We're trying to help your glow come through.”
The new film marks the next chapter in Foxtale’s communication around its Surface to Source philosophy, positioning the approach as a broader shift from repeatedly managing visible concerns to understanding what causes them in the first place.
The campaign film is available on Foxtale’s digital channels.
