Nitin Gajria has been elevated to Managing Director, Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier Markets at Google. Gajria announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post, marking a return to Southeast Asia, where his Google journey began 12.5 years ago.
Gajria has spent the past three years scaling Google’s publisher and creator monetisation business across APAC. Reflecting on his new role, he described the move as a “full-circle moment” and said he was excited to return to Southeast Asia.
Gajria also noted the evolution of the regional ecosystem during his time away, highlighting the growing interest in consumer AI. According to his LinkedIn post, regional consumer AI interest is running three times higher than the global average.
He said his focus in the new role would extend beyond the technology itself to what people across the region will do with it.
