Google has launched AI Plus, a mid-tier subscription plan intended to sit between its existing free and AI Pro offerings. The new plan includes access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, additional AI tools, and increased cloud storage, with pricing aimed at a broader user base.
According to media reports, AI Plus users will have expanded access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s current flagship AI model. Free-tier users are limited to five prompts per day, while AI Pro subscribers receive up to 100. AI Plus will offer a higher cap than the free tier, although the exact number has not been disclosed.
The plan also increases the context window in the Gemini app to 128,000 tokens, compared to 32,000 tokens available for free-tier users. Higher-tier plans continue to offer context windows of up to one million tokens.
Subscribers will also have access to Veo 3 Fast for video creation, Google Flow for video generation, Whisk for image-to-video conversion, and Gemini’s side panel within Gmail, Docs, and Sheets. The subscription includes expanded access to NotebookLM and 200GB of Google One cloud storage.
AI Plus has launched in Indonesia at Rp. 75,000 per month (approximately $4.56 or ₹400), in contrast to AI Pro, which costs Rp. 309,000 ($18.79). A 50% discount is available for new subscribers during the first six months. Google has not confirmed global availability but has stated that pricing in other regions will remain under $20 per month, subject to local adjustments.
With this plan, Google is offering a service positioned between free and premium AI tools, similar to other mid-tier offerings in the market, such as ChatGPT Go.
