Greenply Industries Limited has entered the Guinness World Records with its ‘#WishForVishwaCup’ campaign, creating the “Most Signatures on a Piece of Sports Memorabilia” with over 7,000 signatures on a single cricket bat.
Launched as a tribute to India’s World Cup victory, the campaign invited fans nationwide to share their wishes for Team India, transforming a simple gesture into a large-scale participatory movement.
Amplified in partnership with Radio Mirchi, the initiative leveraged on-air storytelling, RJ-led engagement and on-ground activations to bring together fans, dealers, architects and contractors under a shared sentiment.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanidhya Mittal, Joint Managing Director, Greenply Industries Limited, said, “For over four decades, Greenply has been a part of people’s homes and everyday lives. With this world record, we stepped beyond spaces and into emotions, bringing together thousands of Indians through a shared feeling of pride. This record belongs to every fan who believed, wished, and became a part of this journey.”
The record-setting bat will be permanently housed at a Greenply facility, serving as a symbolic artefact of collective support and national pride.
The campaign reflects the brand’s broader positioning of building not just interiors but connections, with further amplification planned across digital, print and experiential platforms.
