Millions of devotees have gathered at Mahakumbh 2025, and several healthcare brands have stepped forward to provide essential medical services and initiatives to those in attendance. These efforts highlight the importance of public-private partnerships in healthcare, offering invaluable support to pilgrims while inspiring others to follow suit.
One notable initiative is being led by Remidio, a health-tech company known for its impact in the fight against vision impairment. Remidio is spearheading the Netrakumbh initiative in collaboration with Sun Pharma and Sankara Eye Foundation, aiming to screen 500,000 individuals using advanced AI technology. The programme is set to directly impact 60,000 people, with over 170,000 eye scans expected to be conducted, showcasing the potential of scalable healthcare solutions at large-scale events like Mahakumbh.
In addition, Sri Sri Tattva, a leading FMCG and wellness brand in India, is offering free Ayurvedic consultations to thousands of attendees. Combining the spiritual significance of the event with the ancient science of Ayurveda, Sri Sri Tattva’s team of Ayurvedic doctors is providing health, lifestyle, diet, and personalized remedies to pilgrims. Each doctor is attending to up to 100 patients daily, ensuring that the health and wellness of visitors is prioritized throughout the event.
Through these initiatives, the healthcare brands are not only contributing to the well-being of Mahakumbh's attendees but also setting an example of how technology and traditional medicine can work hand-in-hand to improve public health.
