Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has expanded its EV ecosystem by integrating access to more than 30,000 EV charging points across India through the myHyundai app, creating one of the country's largest charging networks accessible through a single platform.
Built through partnerships with multiple Charge Point Operators (CPOs), the platform is open to EV owners across brands and enables users to locate, navigate to, book and pay for charging services through the app.
The charging network covers routes across the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, with charging facilities available within an average radius of 25 km. It also includes charging points along major highways such as Delhi-Gurgaon-Jaipur, Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Goa, Chennai-Vellore-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Kurnool-Bengaluru.
Commenting on the development, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, HMIL, said, “With charging infrastructure being a key catalyst for EV adoption in India, HMIL is committed to creating an ecosystem that makes electric mobility practical, convenient and accessible to all. Through the integration of over 30,000 charging points on the myHyundai app, we are empowering EV users with one of India's largest charging networks accessible through a single platform. Importantly, the platform is open to EV owners across brands, reinforcing HMIL’s commitment to developing India's broader EV ecosystem. HMIL will more than triple its proprietary DC fast public charging network from 183 stations today to 600 stations by 2030, bringing India's charging infrastructure closer to global benchmarks.”
Alongside partner-operated charging points, HMIL currently operates 183 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities, offering charging capacities ranging from 60 kW to 240 kW. The company plans to expand this network to 600 stations by 2030 across cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships.
According to the company, more than 3 lakh EV users have accessed HMIL-owned charging services through the app between January 2023 and June 2026, delivering over 50 lakh kWh of energy and contributing to an estimated reduction of 3.5 million kg of CO₂ emissions.
HMIL also said it plans to enter the mass-market EV segment with the launch of an electric SUV within the current financial year.
