Infectious Advertising has appointed Abhijit Karandikar as Executive Creative Director.
Karandikar is a designer, art director and creative leader with over 30 years of experience in advertising. He spent more than two decades at Ogilvy & Mather, following earlier stints at Everest Advertising and Interact Vision.
His portfolio spans brands including Mondelez, Castrol, Pond’s, Star Plus, Star Sports, Tata Sumo, Amaron Batteries, Taj Mahal Tea, BCCI and the Indian Ministry of Health.
Karandikar’s work has won over 40 national and international awards, including honours at Cannes Lions, The One Show, London International Awards, Spikes Asia, Effies, Kyoorius and Goafest. His work has also featured in international creative publications such as Lürzer’s Archive, Communication Arts, Graphis Annual USA and The Work.
Beyond advertising, Karandikar pursues calligraphy and experimental visual design. His original works have been exhibited in the Netherlands and at Mumbai’s Nehru Centre.
