Instamart has partnered with Kalyan Jewellers to introduce a gold rate protection feature ahead of Akshaya Tritiya, aimed at helping consumers plan gold purchases amid price fluctuations.
The feature allows users to lock the gold rate in advance and complete their purchase at the lower of the pre-booked rate or the prevailing market rate on the day of delivery. It will be available for BIS hallmarked gold coins listed on the Instamart platform.
Between April 10 and April 16, 2026, consumers can pre-book eligible gold coins by paying a 5% advance, starting from ₹500 for a 0.5 gm coin. The final purchase can be completed on April 19, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM IST, at the lower of the two prices. Customers who pre-book will also receive a complimentary silver coin from Kalyan Jewellers, subject to availability.

According to the company, Instamart recorded a more than 500% increase in gold and silver coin sales on Akshaya Tritiya last year compared to Dhanteras, indicating growing consumer adoption of quick commerce platforms for such purchases.
The offering is a limited-period, seller-led initiative applicable to select Kalyan Jewellers products on Instamart and is subject to availability and terms and conditions.
