Gautam Malhotra, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jindal Steel, has resigned from the company.
Jindal Steel shared the update through a stock exchange filing, stating that Malhotra cited personal commitments as the reason behind stepping down from the role.
Malhotra joined the company in May 2024, taking over the role of CEO in October 2025. His appointment then came nearly five years after the company’s previous CEO, Sudhanshu Saraf, stepped down in 2020.
During his tenure, Malhotra worked across multiple functions, including mining, manufacturing, logistics, technology and sales.
