Lenovo India has launched a nationwide augmented reality (AR) gaming campaign, 'India’s Gone Football', offering participants a chance to win a trip to the Fifa World Cup 2026.
The activation is accessible via a dedicated website and allows users to turn everyday objects into virtual goalposts using their smartphones. By scanning rectangular surfaces such as televisions, laptops or tables, players can take part in a penalty shootout-style game designed to simulate match scenarios.
Each session consists of five penalty attempts, with points awarded for successful goals. Scores are influenced by accuracy and speed-based multipliers, introducing a competitive element to gameplay. Participants can play multiple times, although only their top 50 scores contribute to their overall leaderboard ranking.
The campaign includes a live leaderboard system, with periodic updates shared on Lenovo India’s social media platforms to highlight top performers.
As part of the incentive structure, the top participants stand a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Fifa World Cup 2026, alongside additional rewards such as Lenovo merchandise and devices. Users with Lenovo devices can unlock a higher score multiplier by entering their device details, potentially improving their ranking.
The campaign is open to smartphone users across India, with the grand prize limited to participants aged 18 and above. Others can still compete for weekly rewards.
