Lenskart has announced that its upcoming B Camera Smartglasses will feature direct UPI payment integration. The announcement was made at the Global Fintech Festival (GFF) 2025.
The smartglasses will allow users to complete payments by scanning a QR code using the built-in camera, without the need for a phone or PIN. The feature is expected to be available in the coming months.
The integration connects the smartglasses to a user’s bank account, enabling authentication and payments through voice commands. The system uses NPCI’s UPI Circle feature, which links the eyewear to the bank account and provides real-time transaction verification.
“The role and use of smart glasses in our lives will continue to evolve and payments are an important part of our daily activity. By integrating payments into the camera of smart glasses, we intend to make this a seamless form of payments,” said Peyush Bansal, Chairman, CEO & Cofounder, Lenskart.
The B Camera Smartglasses include a POV camera and AI features. Lenskart’s move highlights developments in wearable technology and digital payments in India.
