The platform’s new lineup features returning franchises, fresh originals, direct-to-digital films, post-theatrical premieres, comedy specials and live sports

Marathi Zee5 unveils second-year slate with originals

Marathi Zee5 has unveiled its second-year content slate, expanding its offering with a mix of original series, films, post-theatrical premieres, comedy, AI-led titles and live sports.

The series lineup sees the return of two popular franchises. Hey Kay Navin? returns for a second season, reuniting Umesh Kamat and Priya Bapat, while Devkhel Season 2 brings back Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali. New originals include Kon Yashwant Pansare?, featuring Bharat Jadhav, Sharvari Jamenis, Pushkar Shrotri and Shivani Rangole, and 112, created by Nikhil Mahajan and directed by Jeejivisha Kale and Rohit Satpute.

Commenting on the slate, VR Hema, Chief Channel Officer – Zee Marathi and Business Head – Marathi Zee5, said, “When we launched Marathi Zee5, our belief was simple yet bold, that Marathi audiences deserve a streaming platform dedicated for them, not an occasional regional offering.”

She added that the new slate combines returning favourites with fresh originals, films and formats while continuing to champion Marathi stories and creative talent.

With its second-year slate, Marathi Zee5 is looking to strengthen its position as a dedicated streaming destination for Marathi audiences, offering content across drama, comedy, horror, family entertainment, films and live sports.
