Myntra, one of India’s leading fashion, beauty, and lifestyle platforms, has launched its new women seller programme, MynShakti, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs across India. In line with the upcoming International Women's Day, the initiative seeks to support women-led businesses in fashion, beauty, and home categories.
MynShakti is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with essential tools, resources, and mentorship to thrive in the competitive e-commerce market. Myntra plans to onboard around 100 women sellers in the pilot phase, offering them dedicated support for seamless integration onto the platform. The programme focuses on four key areas: seamless onboarding with account management, operational training, expert-led mentorship webinars, and marketing and growth support.
Govindraj MK, CHRO Myntra, said, "MynShakti is a natural extension of Myntra's ShECommerce initiative. Through MynShakti, we are creating a dedicated support system for women entrepreneurs, equipping them with the right resources to navigate in the e-commerce space. This initiative is not just about business growth—it's about playing a part enabling financial independence, fostering leadership and driving meaningful change. We are excited to welcome a new wave of women-led brands to Myntra and look forward to seeing them flourish."
The MynShakti programme will begin with a webinar to introduce shortlisted participants to Myntra’s seller ecosystem. Based on the success of the first phase, Myntra aims to scale the initiative and extend support to a larger number of women entrepreneurs across the country.
This new programme builds on Myntra's earlier success with its ShECommerce initiative, launched in August 2024. With over 6,000 members, ShECommerce has been instrumental in facilitating leadership dialogues, mentorship, and career-building opportunities for women. Key programs under ShECommerce include:
- ShE-roes Unplugged: Webinars with industry leaders sharing insights to inspire women entrepreneurs.
- Internship & Mentorship for College Students: Aimed at Tier 2 and 3 cities, this initiative helps young women gain access to role models and career opportunities.
- A Day in the Life at Myntra: A recent experience at Myntra's Bangalore HQ, where five selected students explored Myntra’s culture and e-commerce industry insights.
Through MynShakti and ShECommerce, Myntra continues to champion gender equality in e-commerce, foster diversity, and empower women-led businesses to grow.
