Neeraj Bassi, the Chief Growth Officer of Cheil India has decided to move on from the agency, as per highly placed sources. IMPACT Magazine has also learned from industry sources that he is expected to join in a key role at Ogilvy, strengthening their Delhi office.
Bassi has been with Cheil since February 2023 and was tasked with leading the country’s business growth at the agency by adding new clients and help in delivering work that builds on its capabilities in the creative, media, data, activation, and retail segments. He was group chief strategy officer for Havas earlier and the president of planning at Ogilvy India. In his 27 year long career, Bassi has managed strategic responsibilities for brands like Cadbury’s Dairy Milk & 5 Star, Voltas, Honda, HSBC, and Vistara. He has also previously held the position of Cheil’s chief strategy officer. Cheil Worldwide Inc., is a marketing company under the Samsung Group.
