Rob Doubal and Laurence Thomson have announced that they are stepping down from their roles as Global Chief Creative Officers at M+C Saatchi after a tenure of two years at the company.
The duo, widely known as Rob and Lolly, took to LinkedIn to share the news, revealing that they are moving on following what they called a ‘fantastic’ period at the agency.
In his post, Doubal wrote, “We have worked with some wonderfully talented people unifying specialisms around the globe with Cultural Power, helping the US with the group's first ever Super bowl, Sports and Entertainment's first ever win at Cannes Lions & seeing the UK get back into the top 10 new business rankings.”
Thomson echoed the sentiment, saying, “We worked with some incredibly talented people, did work we're really proud of, and genuinely loved building something together.”
Sharing the highlights of their tenure, he said, “Cracking the UK top 10 in new business, winning Sports & Entertainment's first ever Cannes Lions, and producing M+C Saatchi's first Super Bowl ad. Not half bad eh?”
Doubal and Thomson first began working together in 2006, going on to build careers at agencies including Mother London and Wieden+Kennedy. In 2012, they joined McCann London, where they later rose to become joint chief creative officers for McCann UK and co-presidents of McCann London, before joining M+C Saatchi in 2024.
