Ryan Roslansky, Executive Vice President of Microsoft 365, is set to leave Microsoft after nearly 18 years with the company.
Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella announced the development in a memo to employees, stating that Roslansky will remain with the company until the end of the calendar year as an advisor to Nadella and will help support the leadership transition.
The leadership changes take effect immediately. Sumit Chauhan and Lan Ye will report to Charles Lamanna, while Jon Friedman will report to Jacob Andreou. Dan Shapero will continue as CEO of LinkedIn and Mohak Shroff will remain in his current role, with both reporting to Nadella.
Roslansky became CEO of LinkedIn in 2020, during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past year, he also took on responsibilities related to Microsoft 365, contributing to the company’s approach to AI and Copilot across its productivity suite.
Reflecting on his tenure, Roslansky thanked Nadella and the teams at LinkedIn and Microsoft for their support. He said, “Satya, thank you. When LinkedIn joined Microsoft, you gave us room to build, and then trusted many of us with a lot more. I’ve learned more from you than I can fit in an email, and I’m grateful for the friendship that came with it.” He concluded, “Thank you for the best 18 years I could have asked for.”
