SW Network and Flipkart Promote iPhone Season on Big Billion Days

Flipkart along with SW Network have rolled out a nationwide pre-buzz campaign announcing the upcoming iPhone Season on Big Billion Days. The campaign was aimed at highlighting the trust Indian consumers place in Flipkart for iPhone purchases and reinforcing its position as a preferred platform for iPhone buyers.

The campaign was reportedly based on the cultural insight that India regards Flipkart as a key destination for iPhone purchases during Big Billion Days. According to the brand, the concept used bold, absurd but relatable comparisons to illustrate the scale of iPhones sold during the previous year’s event, referencing daily Delhi Metro passengers, annual flight take-offs, and traffic on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.

To execute the campaign, the brand claims multiple high-impact layers were employed across different touchpoints. This included a series of billboards at locations such as Rajiv Chowk Metro, Mumbai Airport, and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, where each creative compared iPhone sales with everyday cultural references. Flipkart stated that the aim was to turn commutes into moments of discovery and conversation, with the billboards designed to attract attention from the public.

The campaign also reportedly involved participation from personalities including cricketer Virender Sehwag and actor Archana Puran Singh, who appeared in films that added humor and entertainment value. Flipkart claims that offline innovations included airplane announcements comparing cruising altitude with the number of iPhones sold. The creative, according to the brand, gained traction online as well, with memes, LinkedIn posts, and user-generated content amplifying the idea from outdoor spaces to digital culture.
