Swiggy Dineout names Bhuvan Bam ambassador for GIRF 2026

Bhuvan Bam brings characters from BB Ki Vines, including Babloo, Babli, Sameer and Bhuvan, into the campaign, portraying different diner profiles for Great Indian Restaurant Festival 2026

Swiggy Dineout names Bhuvan Bam ambassador for GIRF 2026

Swiggy Limited has announced the launch of Swiggy Dineout’s Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) 2026, appointing Bhuvan Bam as the official ambassador and integrating the BB Ki Vines universe into the campaign.

GIRF 2026 will run from 15 February 2026 for two months, offering up to 50 per cent off at more than 40,000 restaurants across 60 cities in India. The offers apply across categories including cafés, pubs, bars, luxury dining and family restaurants. Diners can also receive an additional 10 per cent instant discount on all HDFC Bank cards and 10 per cent back as Dinecash on every booking made through Dineout.

The campaign theme, ‘Bill Half. Party Full.’, centres on reducing the cost barrier associated with dining out. Bhuvan Bam brings characters from BB Ki Vines, including Babloo, Babli, Sameer and Bhuvan, into the campaign, portraying different diner profiles.

The flagship film depicts a dining scenario in which Babloo questions discount limits and terms, while Sameer explains the scale of the festival. The campaign positions discounted bills as a way to encourage group dining and spontaneous plans.

Commenting on the launch, Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue, Swiggy Dineout, said “GIRF is one of India’s largest dining movements. Our focus every year is to make dining out more rewarding, more accessible and more frequent for consumers, while unlocking sustained incremental footfalls and revenue growth for our restaurant partners. With Bhuvan and the BB Ki Vines universe, we are tapping into characters that India deeply relates to. Babloo, Babli and Sameer represent real diner mindsets we see on the platform every day, from the bill conscious planner to the value maximiser to the spontaneous celebration starter.”

The festival will cover major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, as well as Goa, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Udaipur.

The campaign will run across digital, social and creator platforms, along with in-app formats.

Participating brands include Cafe Coffee Day, Barista, Good Flippin Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, Krishnapatnam, Biergarten and Ironhill.

GIRF 2026 will also feature limited-time “Crazzzy Deals of the Day”, complimentary cocktails and mocktails at selected partner bars, and extended happy hours at participating venues.
