Unilever has unveiled its largest-ever sports partnership activation ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, deploying 50,000 creators across more than 120 markets as part of a global marketing campaign.
As the tournament’s Official Personal Care Sponsor, Unilever will activate over 35 brands from its personal care portfolio, including Dove, Dove Men+Care, Rexona and Axe. The initiative aims to connect with football fans through culturally relevant content centred on freshness, confidence and care.

At the heart of the campaign is a creator network that will drive conversations and engagement throughout the tournament, reflecting a broader industry shift towards influencer-led marketing at major sporting events.
In addition, Unilever plans to launch 180 limited-edition products across retail and e-commerce channels, seeking to convert tournament visibility into consumer demand and sales.

The activation aligns with the company’s wider social-first marketing strategy. Last year, Chief Executive Officer Fernando Fernandez outlined a move away from traditional mass advertising towards creator-driven engagement, increasing the share of media investment allocated to social and creator partnerships while significantly expanding Unilever’s global influencer network.
Describing the FIFA activation as “powered by creators and built for culture”, the company is positioning creator-led storytelling as a key driver of brand growth during one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
