Vikas Gupta is set to join Himalaya Wellness Company as Chief Executive Officer – India, moving from VLCC, where he currently serves as CEO & Managing Director. He will take charge of Himalaya Wellness Company ’s India business from September 23, 2026.
Gupta brings over 27 years of experience across FMCG, consumer businesses, digital commerce and business transformation. He spent around two decades with Unilever, holding leadership roles across India and international markets including Singapore, Brazil, the UK and Indonesia, where he worked across consumer businesses and markets.
He later joined Flipkart as Chief Customer & Marketing Officer, before moving to Nykaa as CEO – Superstore, Nykaa Pro & International. At Nykaa, he was involved in developing its B2B beauty commerce business and building it as a growth vertical. He subsequently joined VLCC as CEO & Managing Director, leading the company through a transformation and growth phase.
An engineer from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from IIM Lucknow, Gupta’s experience spans consumer strategy, brand building, digital and e-commerce, P&L leadership and business transformation.
At Himalaya Wellness Company, Gupta will lead the India business of the herbal healthcare and wellness company, which was founded in 1930 and has built its portfolio around combining Ayurvedic knowledge with modern scientific research. Its portfolio spans healthcare, personal care, oral care, baby care and animal health, with a presence across more than 100 countries.
His appointment brings together his experience across FMCG, consumer technology, beauty and wellness as he takes charge of Himalaya Wellness Company ’s India business.
