Vishal Mega Mart has extended Gunender Kapur’s tenure as Managing Director and CEO by five years, alongside elevating his designation to Founder, Managing Director and CEO.
As per a regulatory filing, the renewed term will take effect from September 1, 2026, and continue until August 31, 2031.
Kapur had taken charge as MD and CEO of the company in June 2024 for a three-year term, originally due to end on June 26, 2027.
Kapur brings over 42 years of experience in management and investment roles across consumer and retail sectors. He has previously worked with companies such as Hindustan Lever, Reliance Industries and TPG Capital.
